Job summary

Method Resourcing Ltd in the UK is seeking a Senior AI Automation Engineer to design and deliver production‑grade AI applications, intelligent agents and automated workflows within a large, governed enterprise.

You will work across Microsoft Copilot, Python, Power Platform and Azure, merging software engineering with AI and workflow automation to move projects from proof‑of‑concept to production deployments.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python engineering experience, including APIs, testing, modular architecture and asynchronous processing.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio.
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform and workflow automation.
• Experience building and deploying production AI/LLM applications, agents or AI-powered workflows.
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI / AI Foundry or comparable AI platforms.
• Understanding of agentic AI patterns, orchestration, tool use, prompt design and LLM limitations.
• Strong API and systems integration experience, including REST and/or GraphQL.
• Experience designing reusable services, connectors and integration components.
• Microsoft Azure experience across services such as Functions, containers and AI services.
• Strong CI/CD, Git and automated testing experience.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes or Azure Container Apps.
• An understanding of production monitoring, reliability and observability.

We're looking for a Senior AI Automation Engineer to join a growing specialist AI engineering capability within a major UK company.

This is a hands‑on engineering role focused on designing and delivering production‑grade AI applications, intelligent agents and automated workflows within a large, governed enterprise environment.

You'll work across Microsoft Copilot, Python, Power Platform and Azure, combining modern software engineering with AI and workflow automation to build solutions that move beyond proof‑of‑concept and into real‑world production use.

The role

You’ll sit at the intersection of AI engineering, software development and intelligent automation, taking ownership of the technical design and delivery of AI‑powered solutions used across the business.

Your work will include:

• Designing and building AI agents and multi-step automated workflows
• Developing production‑grade Python services, APIs and automation pipelines

We're looking for an experienced engineer who combines strong software engineering fundamentals with practical experience delivering AI and automation solutions.

• Strong commercial Python engineering experience, including APIs, testing, modular architecture and asynchronous processing
• Strong experience with Microsoft Copilot / Copilot Studio
• Strong experience with Microsoft Power Platform and workflow automation
• Experience building and deploying production AI/LLM applications, agents or AI‑powered workflows
• Experience with Azure OpenAI, Azure AI / AI Foundry or comparable AI platforms
• Understanding of agentic AI patterns, orchestration, tool use, prompt design and LLM limitations
