Job summary

Kraken seeks a principal AI architect for the People team to own end-to-end AI-powered HR solutions, from design to deployment, governance, and handover to the People team for ongoing maintenance.

You will lead cross-functional work across HRIS, ATS, payroll, and analytics, build agentic workflows, ensure data privacy, and drive adoption of AI tools like n8n, Claude API, and Workday integrations across a global organisation.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with AI/ML in production.
• 2–3+ years working on HR tech problems within HR or People teams.
• Strong fluency with AI and workflow automation tools in HR workflows.
• Hands-on experience deploying AI-powered workflows in production.
• Deep working knowledge of Workday, including job change workflows and payroll dependencies.
• Systems thinker with end-to-end implementation capability.

Responsibilities

• Design and deploy AI-powered HR solutions.
• Build multi-agent systems connecting HRIS, ATS, payroll, and ticketing into end-to-end workflows.
• Implement error handling, audit trails, and human-in-the-loop checks in production systems.
• Maintain data classification, privacy controls, and compliance across jurisdictions.
