Job summary

Pivotal is building an AI-first Pulse Platform for UK mortgage advisory with Jarvis AI assistance. You will help shape a modern Django 6 backend and a React 19/TypeScript frontend, in a high-ownership role on the Pulse CRM.

You’ll work alongside senior engineers to ship features end‑to‑end and push for reliability, performance and scalable AI-powered adviser workflows. We seek candidates with strong Python/Django production experience, solid React/TS, REST, background jobs, and a track record

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python and Django experience building production web apps.
• Solid modern React and TypeScript skills.
• Full-stack: relational data modelling, REST APIs, background jobs.
• Experience with AI coding tools and real productivity gains.
• Quality mindset: tests, code reviews, maintainable code.
• Excellent documentation to enable team navigation.
• Experience in FCA-regulated or financial services environments.
• Celery or similar task queues; Kubernetes or AWS exposure.
• Experience building LLM-powered features.

Responsibilities

• Ship features end to end across data model to UI.
• Own product areas, their behavior and evolution.
• Be the second reviewer on changes and share ownership of the codebase.
• Raise the bar with tests, code reviews and patterns for future engineers.
• Build the product surface for Jarvis with AI and context engineers.
• Help scale the platform as advisers grow; focus on performance and reliability.
