Job summary

Pulse Group is partnering with an exciting AI-native startup in London that is building a proactive AI Lifestyle Operating System. This hands-on, high-ownership role sits on the founding engineering team to build backend infrastructure with Python, Django and Celery, deploying on GCP and scaling to support elite founders and creatives.

You’ll own features from idea to production, work closely with the CTO, and ship in a small, high-impact team.

Qualifications

• 5+ years building production backend systems.
• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge.
• Experience with background processing, ideally Celery.
• Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI infrastructure.
• Cloud-native production experience, ideally GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design and evolve the backend architecture to scale.
• Own features from idea to production delivery.
• Collaborate with the CTO and product to ship.
• Improve reliability, performance and observability.
• Mentor junior engineers and promote best practices.

London | 4 days onsite, 1 WFH

Pulse Group are proud to be working with an incredibly exciting AI-native startup building a next-generation product that goes far beyond \"just another chatbot!\"

They’re creating a proactive AI Lifestyle Operating System for some of the world’s highest-performing founders, athletes and creatives, using AI to actually advise, execute and manage across travel, dining, wellness, experiences and more.

The business has already raised $12m from an impressive group of investors and is now expanding its founding engineering team.

This is a genuinely hands-on, high-ownership position working directly alongside the CTO, building the backend infrastructure behind the product and taking features all the way from idea to production.

What we’re looking for:

• 5+ years building production backend systems


• Strong SQL and PostgreSQL knowledge


• Experience with background processing, ideally Celery


• Hands-on experience with LLMs or AI infrastructure


• Cloud-native production experience, ideally GCP


• Exposure to RAG, agent-based systems or orchestration is a big plus


• Someone who enjoys ownership, solving difficult engineering problems and shipping
