Job summary

Aveni is redefining how financial institutions use AI with production-ready agentic systems. We seek a Technical Lead to own core platform architectures, guide the technical direction, and mentor a team of engineers across Node.js and AWS technologies.

You will shape scalable, multi-tenant services, implement robust data ingestion and API layers, and ensure security, reliability, and GDPR compliance across the platform.

Qualifications

• Significant software engineering experience with a track record of technical leadership and architectural decision-making.
• Deep production experience with Node.js, backend, API and distributed systems.
• Strong experience designing and operating cloud-native systems on AWS.
• Experience building multi-tenant systems with data isolation and lifecycle considerations.

Responsibilities

• Own the technical architecture and direction of Aveni's core platform services.
• Design and build scalable, event-driven services on AWS.
• Develop and evolve client-data ingestion capabilities for onboarded clients and data sources.
• Build and maintain APIs for consistent data consumption by products.
• Design robust multi-tenant systems with strong data isolation and security controls.
• Lead data lifecycle management including retention and GDPR considerations.
• Coordinate integrations with third-party APIs, focusing on reliability and retries.
• Document architectural decisions and participate in Architecture Review Board discussions.
• Raise engineering standards around testing, observability, security, and operational ownership.
• Remain hands-on with production code (Node.js) while guiding the team.
