Job summary

Searchability is building an ambitious AI startup in London, seeking a Senior Applied AI Engineer/Data Scientist to shape architecture, reliability and intelligence of an evolving AI platform. You will own end-to-end ML/AI work, from research to production, collaborating with engineers and product teams.

The role blends hands-on ML with software engineering, offering hybrid work in London (3 days in the office) and significant ownership over technical direction.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial experience in Data Science, Applied AI, ML or AI Engineering.
• Proficient in Python and ML/data processing libraries.
• Experience with LLM applications, NLP systems or AI agents.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and deploy AI/ML solutions using Python.
• Build and improve LLM-powered apps, agents and automated workflows.
• Develop NLP and information extraction for unstructured data.
• Design evaluation frameworks for AI accuracy and reliability.
• Identify model failure modes and improve AI recommendations.
• Develop scalable data pipelines and infrastructure for AI apps.
• Explore human-in-the-loop approaches for trustworthy AI.
• Collaborate with software engineers to productionize ideas.
