Job summary

M&G, within its Life Technology team, is seeking a Senior AI Engineer for a 12-month fixed-term role to design, develop, deploy, and optimise enterprise AI solutions that drive measurable business outcomes.

You will collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Data Engineers, and Security to build scalable, secure AI capabilities in a regulated financial services environment, focusing on governance and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Experienced AI engineering professionals with strong software engineering expertise.
• Deep knowledge of artificial intelligence, machine learning, and generative AI technologies.
• Experience delivering AI capabilities within a regulated financial services environment.

Responsibilities

• AI Solution Delivery: shape solution options, contribute to roadmaps, and translate business challenges into scalable tech solutions.
• AI Engineering & Generative AI: design, deploy, and optimise AI-powered applications, APIs, copilots, agents, and intelligent automation.
• Software Engineering & Platform Delivery: build cloud-native apps, APIs, microservices, data pipelines, and CI/CD practices.
• MLOps, Monitoring & Production Operations: implement model lifecycle management, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
• Data Governance, Security & Responsible AI: ensure security, governance, privacy, risk, and responsible AI requirements.
• Business Value & Adoption: develop dashboards and reporting to quantify value and adoption.
• Collaboration, Leadership & Capability Development: provide technical leadership and mentorship across teams.
