Job summary

83zero Ltd is seeking a Senior Python Developer to lead GenAI-powered solutions. You’ll build production-grade Python code, APIs and AI-enabled services for enterprise clients, leveraging LLMs, RAG and AI agents.

You’ll work across the full development lifecycle, deploying applications with AWS/Azure, Docker and Kubernetes, while collaborating with client stakeholders and engineers to deliver robust, scalable systems.

Responsibilities

• Build production applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI

• Work with OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama or similar LLMs
• Use LangChain, LangGraph, CrewAI or similar AI framework
• Work with vector databases including Pinecone, Qdrant, ChromaDB and PGVector
• Take GenAI POCs into production and scale them

Senior Python Developer - GenAI

• Salary: £60,000 - £70,000 plus benefits, perks and healthcare options
• Locations: London, Bristol, Manchester, Glasgow or Newcastle
• Job Type: Permanent | Hybrid / 2 days per week onsite | Occasional travel to client sites

The Role:
We're looking for hands-on Python Developers at Senior level who have experience building software and a practical understanding of Generative AI, LLMs and RAG.
This is a coding-focused role for engineers who enjoy building real solutions. You'll use Python as your primary development language, developing APIs, services and AI applications using technologies such as LLMs, RAG, AI agents and vector search.
You'll work across the development lifecycle, helping take GenAI ideas and POC's through to robust, production-ready applications for enterprise clients.

What you'll be doing:

What we're looking for:

• Proven leadership and mentoring experience required for Senior Consultant level.
• Strong commercial Python development experience
• Experience building APIs, microservices and backend applications
• Hands-on experience with LLMs, Generative AI and RAG
• Experience with AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph or CrewAI
• Experience with vector databases and semantic search
• Experience with OpenAI, Anthropic, Mistral, Llama or similar
• Good software engineering, testing and Git practices
• Experience with AWS or Azure, Docker and ideally Kubernetes
• Experience with PostgreSQL, MongoDB or similar databases
• Experience with CI/CD using GitHub, GitLab or Jenkins
• Agile engineering experience
• Experience with AI agents, tool calling, embeddings, prompt engineering or LLM observability is beneficial
• React/TypeScript and Terraform/IaC experience is beneficial
• Experience taking GenAI POCs into production is highly beneficial
