Pendo, a leading software company based in Sheffield, seeks a Senior Software Engineer to shape intelligent product experiences from discovery to delivery. You’ll work full-stack with a frontend bias (TypeScript, Vue.js), building AI-powered features on a small, fast-moving team and guiding product judgment with customer feedback.

You’ll own end-to-end delivery, collaborating with product, design, and engineers, while focusing on quality, latency, and reliable AI outputs.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience building with LLMs and AI agents.
• Full-stack engineering with a frontend lean, strong TypeScript, DOM proficiency, and backend reasoning.
• 3+ years building and scaling web applications.
• Strong product judgment, comfortable with ambiguous problems and scope.
• Experience defining success metrics and iterating from usage data.
• Direct customer validation experience post-launch.
• Strong grasp of software architecture, design principles, and API development.
• Clear communication and ability to mentor teammates.

Responsibilities

• AI-powered feature delivery from end-to-end across the experience.
• Full-stack ownership across frontend and backend with a TS/Vue focus.
• Participate in product discovery with customers; test prototypes.
• Define success metrics and use data to drive iteration.
• Leverage AI tools as part of daily workflow; review AI-generated code for quality.
• Ensure AI-backed features have low latency, reliable output, and user trust.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with product, design, and engineers.
• Raise engineering standards via code reviews and mentorship.
