Zendesk, Inc. is seeking a Senior AI Data Engineer to join the Analytics Prototyping (ZAP) team. You will design and ship data assets powering Zendesk’s customer-facing analytics and internal decision-making, working across code, dbt models, and datasets.

You’ll develop ELT pipelines, optimize SQL models with dbt, and help push an AI-enabled operating model through new technologies, while collaborating across teams to deliver scalable data solutions.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of data engineering experience with pipelines & ETL in big data environments.
• Extensive SQL experience focused on data modeling and analysis.
• Hands-on dbt and knowledge of data modeling (Kimball, Inmon).
• Python or similar for data transformation and automation.
• Experience with cloud columnar databases (BigQuery, Redshift, Snowflake) and multiple DBs.
• Proven performance testing, capacity planning, and cost optimization in cloud data.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
