Job summary

G2i is seeking a Senior Software Engineer for AI Training in the UK to evaluate how AI coding agents behave in real-world coding scenarios. You will assess usefulness, reasoning quality, and engineering judgment, then provide clear, opinionated feedback in writing and via short Loom explanations.

This is a remote, freelance-like engagement with flexible hours. youll work 10-20 hours per week, rate $100-$200/hour depending on experience and location, and projects run two weeks to months with

Qualifications

• Senior, Staff or Principal-level engineer (or equivalent experience).
• Strong background in TypeScript/JavaScript or Python.
• Hands-on experience with at least one of OpenAI Codex, Claude Code or Cursor.
• Excellent written and spoken English (B2 or above).
• Able to evaluate code without executing it or reviewing every line.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate AI-generated coding interactions end to end.
• Judge usefulness, correctness, and alignment with how a strong engineer would think.
• Provide clear, opinionated feedback in writing on what worked and what felt off.
• Help define what great looks like when working with tools like Cursor, Codex and Claude Code.
