ADLIB Recruitment in London is seeking a Senior AI & Automation Engineer to own real-world AI and automation projects from idea through to implementation. Report directly to the CEO and work across every area of the business, with a 3‑day‑per‑week office cadence.
This hands-on role focuses on practical delivery, building AI workflows, integrating systems via APIs and automation platforms, and delivering measurable business value with autonomy and stakeholder collaboration.
Own and deliver AI-driven change across a fast-moving, AI-enabled business.
We're looking for a Senior AI & Automation Engineer to join a business that is already using AI across its operations and wants to keep building on that success. This is not a research role and it's not a role focused on experimentation for experimentation's sake; they're looking for a practical builder who enjoys solving problems and delivering working solutions. There’s a lot of ownership to this role, as there isn’t an AI team in place, so we’re looking for someone keen to work autonomously and has a background taking ownership in other businesses!
This role offers the opportunity to work directly with senior stakeholders, identify opportunities for improvement and build practical solutions that deliver measurable business value. It's a rare chance for somebody who enjoys both the technical and commercial side of AI to make a visible impact. You'll partner with teams across sales, underwriting, finance, legal, customer operations and marketing to understand how processes currently work and where improvements can be made.
You'll build and deploy AI workflows, integrate business systems, automate repetitive tasks and support the ongoing optimisation of existing solutions. You'll work closely with the Salesforce Lead and leadership team, helping turn ideas into reliable production processes.
This is a hands-on delivery role focused on building, testing, implementing and improving AI solutions. The Senior AI & Automation Engineer will work across multiple business functions, helping identify opportunities, design workflows and implement automations that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and create better experiences for colleagues and customers. The ideal person will have plenty of autonomy, exposure to senior leadership and the opportunity to make a visible impact, so it would suit somebody who enjoys getting stuck in, building solutions and seeing the results of their work. Sound like you?
You'll receive a salary of £65,000-£85,000, depending on experience, alongside a performance-related bonus. You'll be expected to go into the London office a minimum of 3 days per week.
