An established, owner-led business is seeking an experienced AI & Automation Consultant / Engineer to identify and implement practical ways to improve how the organisation operates.
The aim is to remove repetitive, time-consuming tasks, free up capacity and enable people to focus on higher-value work. The remit spans the business, including opportunities to improve internal operations and client delivery.
This is a hands-on role covering discovery, recommendations, development, production deployment and adoption. You will need to understand what the business wants to achieve, identify worthwhile opportunities and take ownership of delivering working solutions.
The business already uses Claude and ChatGPT business subscriptions. You will have flexibility to recommend other technologies within agreed company parameters.
Experience working with smaller, owner-operated businesses would be particularly helpful.
Early success will include a clear understanding of business priorities, a credible roadmap and quick wins delivering tangible benefits. Over time, success means reliable solutions in everyday use, measurable time savings and more capacity for higher-value work.
Candidates should be ready to discuss previous implementations and the results achieved. Demonstrations, case studies and client references are all welcome.
The interview will also be an opportunity to learn what the organisation is trying to achieve, explore its challenges and explain how you would approach discovery, prioritisation and delivery. We are looking for someone who asks useful questions and shapes the work proactively.
