Job summary

MandM in Hereford is seeking a Senior Agile Delivery Manager to lead delivery across multiple squads within a product-led operating model. You will partner with Product and Engineering to clear blockers, improve predictability and scale flow, delivering outcomes at pace.

The role offers a hybrid pattern (3 days onsite) in our Hereford hub, with opportunities to shape delivery standards, coach teams, and collaborate with senior stakeholders across Technology and the business.

Qualifications

• Proven senior delivery leadership across multiple squads or product domains.
• Experience in a Product Operating Model or product-led delivery environment.
• Strong knowledge of Agile principles with flexible Kanban/ Scrum usage.
• Able to bring structure to evolving processes and manage ambiguity.
• Comfort with data-driven storytelling to stakeholders.
• Confident engaging with senior leadership across Product, Engineering and Business operations.
• Hands-on experience using Jira and Confluence for tracking and reporting.
• Experience in e-commerce, retail, supply chain or logistics is desirable.

Operating above squad-level across multiple product domains, you will partner closely with Product and Engineering leaders to clear systemic blockers, improve predictability, and build flow at scale.

The Role Scope

As a Senior Agile Delivery Manager, you will lead delivery across multiple squads, product areas, or strategic initiatives.Your focus will be on ensuring outcomes are delivered predictably, at pace, and aligned to business priorities. You will drive consistency, improve delivery performance, and enable teams to operate effectively within a fast-moving environment.

You will work closely with Product, Engineering, and business stakeholders, acting as a senior leader within the Delivery function — setting standards, coaching teams, and influencing how delivery operates across the organisation.

Role key responsibilities:

• Take end-to-end accountability for delivery across multiple teams or initiatives
• Ensure outcomes are delivered predictably, aligned to priorities, and at pace
• Proactively manage risks, dependencies, and delivery challenges
• Coach teams on Agile principles using a pragmatic, “right-fit” approach
• Build high-performing, accountable teams focused on ownership and continuous improvement
• Lead coordination across squads and stakeholders
• Manage dependencies, sequencing, and alignment to maintain delivery momentum
• Own delivery planning, forecasting, and progress tracking
• Provide clear, data-driven insights on delivery health, risks, and trajectory
• Ensure governance supports delivery rather than slows it down
• Lead quarterly planning cycles, ensuring priorities and dependencies are clear
• Adapt plans as needed to respond to change and business needs
• Build strong relationships across Technology and the wider business
• Provide clarity, challenge, and direction to support successful outcomes
• Confidently manage expectations and influence decision-making
• Define and track meaningful delivery metrics (e.g. cycle time, throughput, predictability)
• Use data to improve delivery flow, team performance, and overall effectiveness
• Contribute to and shape delivery standards and ways of working
• Support and mentor other Delivery Managers to raise capability across the function

About You

What we’re looking for

• Proven Senior Delivery Experience: Strong track record leading delivery across complex, multi-team technology environments.
• Product Operating Model Context: Experience working within—or helping transition teams into—a Product Operating Model or product-led delivery structure.
• Pragmatic Agile Mindset: Deep knowledge of Agile principles, with a flexible approach to applying Kanban, Scrum, or hybrid frameworks based on context.
• Comfort with Ambiguity & Early-Stage Evolution: Ability to bring structure, calm, and direction to environments that are actively evolving their processes.
• Data & Flow Focus: Comfortable using metrics to uncover delivery bottlenecks and tell a clear story to stakeholders.
• Senior Stakeholder Capability: Confident interacting with, influencing, and challenging senior leadership across Product, Engineering, and Business operations.
• Tools & Execution: Hands‑on expertise with Jira and Confluence for tracking, reporting, and domain management.
• Domain Experience: Experience in e‑commerce, retail, supply chain, or logistics environments is highly desirable.
