Job summary

Scottish Borders Housing Association is seeking a Senior Development Manager to lead the pre-contract development lifecycle for new-build and major refurbishment projects across the Scottish Borders.

You will oversee feasibility, planning, funding and grant administration, procurement strategy and stakeholder engagement, working closely with the Construction Manager to maintain programme governance and financial performance. A track record in affordable housing development is essential.

Qualifications

• At least five years' senior-level experience in affordable housing development, regeneration or similar field.
• Strong leadership, commercial, financial and analytical skills.
• Confident advising senior stakeholders and preparing clear governance reports.
• Able to build relationships with tenants, communities, partners, consultants, contractors and funders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the pre-contract development lifecycle for new-build and major refurbishment projects (feasibility, planning, funding and grant administration).
• Define procurement strategy, stakeholder engagement, risk management and programme governance.
• Work with Construction Manager to maintain strategic oversight of programme and financial performance.
• Shape SBHA's development service and strengthen programme controls to deliver affordable homes.
