Job summary

Safran Gloucester site seeks a Senior Test Engineer to deliver development and qualification tests from planning through design, setup, execution and final reporting. You will conduct static, fatigue, endurance and environmental testing to support new landing gear technologies and ongoing in-service programmes.

Qualifications

• Minimum HNC/Degree or equivalent qualification in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• Experience in a qualification or development test environment is required.
• Experience in structural strength, fatigue, endurance, environmental, and/or flight test instrumentation.

Responsibilities

• Review test procedure requirements.
• Develop detailed resource plans to meet testing objectives.
• Lead and coordinate test execution activities.
• Operate control and data acquisition systems.
• Install and configure test instrumentation.
• Investigate faults and resolve testing issues.
• Collaborate with internal and external customers, suppliers and stakeholders.
• Produce technical documentation and comprehensive test reports.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the test facility.
