Job summary

Baker Hughes is seeking a Senior Aeroderivative Turbine Mechanical Field Service Engineer to be the first on-site contact for global customers. You will lead activities, teams and EHS to high standards, safely installing, maintaining and repairing Aeroderivative turbines and related systems.

Responsibilities include directing site work, coordinating subcontractors, troubleshooting complex issues, and ensuring quality and safety across customer sites worldwide.

Qualifications

• 6+ years as a mechanical technician on aircraft engines, aero-derivative engines or turbine technology (LM series preferred).
• Strong mechanical/technical skills and clear communication abilities.
• Knowledge of installing and maintaining rotating equipment including bolting, flange work and piping.
• Extensive gas turbine maintenance experience.
• Experience in energy/oil & gas environments is preferred.
• Customer-service mindset with ability to guide customers through decisions.
• Ability to convey complex technical information to varied audiences.
• High awareness of Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
• Self-motivated, able to make decisions and innovate.
• Proficient in English and willing to travel globally (around 70%).
• EU passport or European work permit.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical direction for site activities to internal teams and skilled labor to ensure safety, compliance and quality.
• Perform mechanical and hydraulic maintenance, repair or replacement of parts as directed.
• Use hand tools and small power tools to maintain Aeroderivative Gas Turbines.
• Coordinate sub-contractor activities and communicate with customers and internal teams on site.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and hydraulic issues on variable pitch and variable speed turbines.
• Oversee, overhaul, troubleshoot and commission Aeroderivative products at customer sites.
• Assess component residual life as a strong plus and advise on actions.
• Lead customer and contractor meetings to discuss action plans and technical solutions.
• Ensure EHS documentation and company standards are followed and updated.
