Job summary

EY UK is seeking an Assistant Director – Infrastructure Advisory for Local and Regional Government, based in Manchester with options for other UK offices. You will lead financial, commercial and strategic advisory work on infrastructure projects, collaborate with government bodies and wider ecosystem partners, and help shape policy and investment decisions.

Qualifications

• Understanding of, and interest in, local and regional government.
• Strong financial modelling, economic and financial analysis.
• Ability to manage workstreams and budgets.
• Team leadership and mentoring.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Commercial acumen and advisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert financial, commercial and strategic advice to clients on transactions and policy projects.
• Deliver and manage complex projects and programmes.
• Build financial models and conduct sensitivity and scenario analysis.
• Create business cases with strategic, economic, financial and commercial evaluation.
• Support clients to achieve financial sustainability.
• Present impactful reports to senior stakeholders.
• Drive business development and contribute to EY's growth strategies.
• Lead origination and sales activities.
• Contribute to sector thought leadership and EY's policy perspective.
• Build senior client relationships across local authorities and government partners.
• Support development and coaching of junior team members.
