Job summary

University of Gloucestershire is seeking a proactive Senior Administrator (Casework) to join the Governance and Legal Team. You will manage a varied caseload, including academic appeals and student complaints, ensuring processes are followed fairly and in line with university procedures.

Working closely with the Student Casework Manager, you will provide specialist guidance, support secretariat duties for committees and boards, and contribute to staff training.

Join our Governance and Legal team as a Senior Administrator (Casework)
The Opportunity

We're looking for proactive and highly-organised Senior Administrator (Casework)to join our Governance and Legal Team, as part of the Chief Financial OfficerDirectorate.

This is a key role supporting the deliveryof the University’s student casework processes, including academic appeals,student complaints and assessment offences.You'll manage a varied caseload, including more complex and sensitivecases, ensuring matters are handled professionally, fairly and in accordancewith University procedures and regulations.

Working closely with the Student CaseworkManager, and deputising on operational matters where required, you'll play animportant role in supporting the effective operation of the University'scasework processes, providing specialist advice and guidance, contributing tostaff training, and helping to ensure a consistent and high-quality service.

Alongside your casework responsibilities,you'll support the wider Governance and Legal Team through the provision ofsecretariat services, including officering committees, boards, panels andreview meetings.

The Governance and Legal team plays a vital rolein ensuring the University meets its legal, governance and regulatoryresponsibilities. Working closely with stakeholders across the University, theteam supports the University's corporate governance framework, informationgovernance compliance and insurance activities, student casework management,the provision of legal services, and secretariat services to support theinstitution in achieving its mission and objectives.
