Job summary

Witherslack Group is opening a new school in the Wythenshawe area and seeks an experienced Office Administrator to support day-to-day operations. You will manage the office, diary, HR admin and payroll checks, and oversee filing to ensure smooth running as the school opens in September 2026.

You will join a diverse team at a purpose-built SEND setting, enjoying 35 days holiday, flexible benefits, wellbeing support and safeguarding commitment.

Qualifications

  • Previous administration experience.
  • Experience managing a team of administrators.
  • High degree of computer literacy.
  • Be able to keep a lot of plates spinning.
  • Hard working, friendly and dependable; build rapport with young people where needed.

Responsibilities

  • Managing the office, diary management and reception duties.
  • Support to Head Teacher and HR administration.
  • Check payroll with attendance records.
  • Set up processes and systems to keep operations running smoothly.

You’ll be in charge of managing the office, ranging from meeting and diary management and providing support to the Head Teacher, HR administration and checking payroll with attendance records. You’ll be involved in running the reception and responsibility for accurate files. With your efficient, professional approach and ability to set up processes and systems, you’ll keep things running smoothly.

Opening in September 2026, Bowersgate School is a purpose built, brand new, state of the art school. The school will cater for up to 72 pupils aged 6 – 16 with a wide range of needs including autism and social, emotional and mental health needs. This new exciting opportunity serves Wythenshawe and the wider communities, you are at the heart of its development.
