Job summary

Marie Curie UK is seeking a Senior Administrator to join the Scotland Administration Team at Glasgow Hospice. This crucial role supports managers, clinicians and operational teams, ensuring meetings run smoothly, minutes are accurate, and sensitive information is handled with discretion.

Based onsite Monday to Friday, you will use Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, demonstrate excellent organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritise a varied workload.

Qualifications

  • Experience in an administrative role within a busy environment.
  • GCSEs English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and IT systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills with ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

Are you an experienced administrator who thrives on keeping teams organised, supporting senior leaders and making a real difference every day? We are looking two organised, proactive and highly professional Senior Administrator’s to join our Scotland Administration Team based at our Glasgow Hospice. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role within a compassionate and dedicated organisation, where your expertise will help support the delivery of exceptional care and services across Scotland.

Salary: Marie Curie Clinical Pay Scale Band 3 £29,103 to £31,409 pro rata per annum

Based: Based onsite full-time Monday to Friday at Marie Curie Glasgow Hospice, 133 Balornock Road, G21 3US

From coordinating meetings and producing accurate minutes, to managing sensitive information, maintaining records and generating reports, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of exceptional care. What we’re looking for:
  • Experience working in an administrative role, providing high-quality support in a busy and fast-paced environment.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook and Teams, with confidence using a range of IT systems.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise a varied workload and work effectively to deadlines.
  • A collaborative team player who enjoys supporting colleagues and building positive working relationships.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to work flexibly and adapt to changing priorities in order to meet service needs.
  • Resilient and able to remain calm, focused and professional when managing competing demands.
  • High levels of accuracy and attention to detail, with a commitment to delivering excellent administrative support.
