Job summary

XPS Group is seeking multiple qualified pensions actuaries to join our GMP Equalisation team. The role focuses on GMP calculations and advising on GMP equalisation for pension schemes.

You will be working within a collaborative, inclusive environment with opportunities to contribute to research and development projects. Essential criteria include 5+ years in DB pensions and FIA qualification, with strong Excel skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in DB pensions industry in an actuarial role.
• Strong understanding of GMP equalisation and actuarial concepts.
• Excellent Microsoft Excel skills.
• Ability to learn quickly and work in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Work with and understand member data for GMP projects.
• Reviewing and signing off on complex GMP-related calculations.
• Sign off on written advice to clients on GMP equalisation topics.
• Communicate results to client teams and support them through projects.
• Liaise with GMP team, client teams and other departments in XPS.
• Train and manage junior colleagues as they embark on their actuarial career.
