Job summary

Howden is recruiting a (Senior) Consulting Actuary to join our pensions consulting team. The role focuses on leading client relationships, delivering high-quality actuarial advice to trustees and employers, and developing a portfolio of appointments.

You may take on Team Leader responsibilities and contribute to business development and market initiatives. Qualified actuaries with FIA/FAA or equivalent, strong people and project management skills, and excellent communication are required.

Qualifications

• Fellowship actuary qualification (FIA/FAA) or equivalent
• Proven ability to manage a portfolio of client appointments and lead teams

Responsibilities

• Act as main contact for trustee and corporate clients, providing actuarial and pensions advice.
• Lead client meetings and provide pragmatic solutions to complex challenges.
• Review and peer review client work for accuracy, quality and regulatory compliance.
• Apply actuarial techniques and risk analysis to support client decisions and objectives.
• Lead and develop client teams to deliver work within agreed timescales.
• Identify opportunities for new business, support tenders and pitches, and contribute to marketing initiatives.
• Represent the firm externally through presentations, industry events and client forums where appropriate.
