Job summary

Meadow Bank Care Home in Bamber Bridge/ Preston area is recruiting an Activities Coordinator to deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities. You will tailor activities to residents’ interests and care needs, promoting wellbeing and social interaction.

Qualifications

• A creative, organised and enthusiastic approach.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to plan and deliver engaging activities.
• A genuine interest in supporting older people.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Previous experience in activities or a similar role is beneficial; transferable skills from hospitality, events, childcare or community work are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a varied programme of group and one-to-one activities tailored to individual interests and care needs.
• Plan and provide engaging activities that promote wellbeing, independence and social interaction.
• Build strong relationships to understand preferences and support inclusive participation for all residents, including those with dementia.
• Work as part of the wider team to maintain a positive, stimulating environment; training and support are provided to develop in the role.
