Job summary

Lily in Kendal is seeking an Activities Co-Ordinator/Organizer and Care Home Manager to lead the weekly activities programme and support residents’ wellbeing. This in-person role requires clear communication with staff, residents and families, and a commitment to person-centred care.

You will plan and run activities, assist with daily living tasks as needed, maintain records, and engage with the wider team to promote independence and quality of life in our care home.

Qualifications

• Experience caring for the service user group.
• Knowledge of working in the care sector.
• Good communication skills (verbal and written).
• Compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Ensure appropriate activities and groups are taking place.
• Assist residents with daily living activities and personal tasks.
• Promote mental and physical activity through conversation, outings, and hobbies.
• Be responsible for tidying rooms and equipment; update records.
• Complete life histories and maintain CareVision records.
• Liaise with key workers and attend staff meetings as needed.
• Provide one-to-one mental/physical stimulation when possible.
• Engage with family, volunteers and external agencies.
• Develop person-centred activities reflecting care and choice.
• Assist in marketing and promoting the home.
• Attend mandatory training and abide by policies.
