Job summary

Allianz UK is seeking a Senior Accounts Technician to join our Accounts Payment team in Guildford. The role blends hands-on financial reporting with governance, controls, and continuous improvement. You will interact with senior stakeholders, translate complex data, and support audits and process harmonisation.

Hybrid working with office attendance 40% of the time. Salary circa £55,000 per year, with a comprehensive total rewards package and development opportunities within Allianz Group.

Qualifications

• Significant experience working within an Accounts Department.
• Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and good knowledge of other Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong understanding of how business activities translate into financial transactions and reporting.
• Experience building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels, including up to Executive Committee.

Responsibilities

• Deliver monthly and quarterly reporting within deadlines with accurate, insightful outputs.
• Improve controls and support audit recommendations to strengthen governance and mitigate risk.
• Act as the subject matter expert for payment processes and provide technical guidance across the business.
• Own and coordinate the external audit process and engage stakeholders effectively.
• Develop, maintain and govern SOPs, rules, and process documentation for consistency and compliance.
