Job summary

TC Group in Chorley is seeking an Accounts Senior on a permanent basis to join our Accounts department. The role offers exposure to sole trader, partnership and company accounts, with cloud software training and support for ACCA/ACA progression.

You will work with staff to prepare accounts and tax returns, review year-end work, and contribute to client service excellence while developing your technical and advisory skills within a friendly team.

Qualifications

• Formal qualification such as AAT, or working towards ACCA/ACA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with cloud packages such as QuickBooks, Xero & SAGE.
• Willing to develop and adapt with honesty and integrity.
• Strong communication and teamwork within a close-knit office.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts.
• Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Review and finalize year end accounts for Director/Manager sign off.
• Review VAT returns and bookkeeping prepared by juniors.
• Assist with personal tax returns for manager review.
• Provide cloud software training for staff and clients (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks).
• Coach junior staff and handle general office tasks.
