Job summary

TC Group in Chorley, Lancashire is seeking an Accounts Senior to join our growing practice on a permanent, full-time basis. You will handle accounts preparation for sole traders, partnerships and companies, along with tax returns, under the direction of Directors and Managers.

The role includes coaching juniors, cloud software training (Sage, Xero, QuickBooks) and involvement in year-end reviews. We offer a supportive team, generous annual leave, pension and other benefits.

Qualifications

• Formal accounting qualifications such as AAT or working towards ACCA/ACA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with cloud packages such as Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of sole trader and partnership accounts.
• Preparation of company accounts and corporation tax returns.
• Review and finalise year end accounts prepared by junior staff for Director/Manager sign off.
• Review of VAT returns and bookkeeping prepared by junior staff.
• Assistance with the preparation of personal tax returns for manager review.
• Provide cloud software training for staff and clients - Sage, Xero and QuickBooks.
• Coaching junior staff in their role.
• General office administration tasks.
