Job summary

TPF Recruitment Ltd is working with an established accountancy practice to recruit an Accounts Supervisor to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practice accountant to take responsibility for a varied client portfolio while overseeing the quality of work and supporting junior colleagues.

Working closely with Managers and Partners, you will combine hands-on accounting expertise with team supervision, client relationship management and workload coordination to ensure

Qualifications

• Experience in accountancy practice and managing a portfolio of clients.
• Ability to supervise others and review work.
• Knowledge of UK accounting standards and statutory accounts.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients, providing accounting and financial support across assignments.
• Oversee preparation of accounts, ensuring compliance with UK accounting standards.
• Liaise with clients to obtain information, resolve queries and maintain relationships.
• Support Managers and Partners with complex assignments and technical queries.
• Review work by junior team members, providing feedback and guidance.
• Assist training, development and supervision of junior staff.
• Allocate and monitor workloads, ensuring deadlines are met.
• Maintain high standards of technical quality and client service.
