Job summary

Clear Legal & Financial Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts Senior Manager for a growing accountancy practice in Winchester. You will manage a varied client portfolio across sectors including agriculture and landed estates, while mentoring junior staff and enhancing technical leadership.

Role offers hybrid working (up to two days from home after probation) and flexible hours around core 10am–4pm. Opportunities for progression and a supportive team culture are highlighted.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualification and UK PQE of at least five years.
• Strong UK GAAP knowledge and experience managing accounts and tax work.
• Excellent communication, organisational and client relationship skills.
• Experience supervising junior colleagues.
• Proficient IT skills, especially Excel, with familiarity of IRIS, Sage, Xero or Caseware.

Responsibilities

• Build and manage a diverse portfolio of limited companies, LLPs and partnerships.
• Prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax computations and business tax returns, with some bookkeeping and VAT.
• Manage assignments, deadlines and client billing.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
• Use accounting software to deliver efficient client services and develop technical/business expertise.
