Responsibilities

• Manage a diverse client portfolio including corporate entities, LLPs and partnerships.
• Be the primary contact for day-to-day client queries and service delivery.
• Work across sectors with a rural/agricultural focus when required to support clients.
• Prepare accounts, corporation tax and business tax computations; assist with bookkeeping and VAT.
• Build long-lasting client relationships and uphold high service standards.
• Develop technical and commercial knowledge and apply it to client work.
• Manage workload, ensure timely deliveries and participate in billing.
• Provide guidance to junior team members and collaborate with colleagues.

Our client, a large established firm of Chartered Accountants are seeking an experienced Senior Accounts Manager to join their growing team in Winchester.

This is a varied and rewarding opportunity, ideally suited to someone with a strong track record in general practice. The role will involve managing a diverse portfolio of clients in various sectors, particularly those in the agricultural industry.

Your key responsibilities will include:

• Managing a diverse client portfolio that is likely to include a mix of corporate entities, LLPs and partnerships.
• Providing excellent service to your clients; being their point of contact for day-to-day queries.
• Working across multiple sectors, including some with a rural or agricultural focus liaising with partners when required to support your clients.
• Your responsibilities will include the preparation of accounts, corporation and business tax computations, with some bookkeeping and VAT.
• Building long lasting client relationships
• Developing and applying your technical and commercial knowledge
• Managing your own workload to ensure assignments are completed to a high standard and on time, taking some responsibility for billing
• Supervising, training and assisting more junior members of the team
• Build productive relationships with team members and colleagues at the firm, adopting a collaborative working approach

You will ideally hold a professional qualification such as ACCA/ACA and have a solid UK accounts background in practice of at least 4-5 years, with an understanding of UK GAAP financial reporting.

A good working knowledge of IRIS, Silverfin, Caseware, Sage and Xero would also be an advantage.
