Job summary

Curtis Recruitment is recruiting for an Accounts & Audit Senior on behalf of a well-established and growing accountancy practice, comprising around 60 staff. The role suits someone with significant audit and accounts experience, who is recently qualified.

Reporting to the Head of Audit and Accounts, you will lead audit assignments, prepare and complete company accounts, identify client needs, mentor junior staff and ensure work is delivered to budget and deadlines.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA finalist or qualified required.
• Previous audit and accounts experience in a UK accountancy practice.
• Good technical knowledge and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Sage, Xero and other accounting software; CCH useful.
• Stay technically up to date with legislation.
• Positive, motivated team player with strong organisational skills.
• Driver with own car preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead audit assignments from planning through fieldwork to completion.
• Prepare and complete company accounts.
• Identify client needs and provide solutions.
• Carry out SAR and charities audit.
• Compute corporation tax where required.
• Ensure work is delivered within deadlines and budget.
• Mentor, supervise and train junior staff.
• Research and analyse financial statements for audit issues.
• Manage client communications and progress reporting to Audit Manager or Partner.
