Our client in Barnsley are seeking a Senior Accounts Assistant to take ownership of the end-to-end purchase ledger process, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all transactions. You'll also play a key role in generating financial reports, supporting month-end close activities, and contributing to the smooth running of the finance function.
Office-based role with flexible working options - permanent opportunity.
Your new role
- Uploading invoices through various platforms.
- Process financial transactions and generate reports.
- Supporting the finance team with productivity reporting and analysis.
- Taking ownership of the purchase ledger process from start to finish, including supplier payments
- Managing weekly sales data
- Handling day-to-day sales ledger tasks, including raising and sending invoices to a range of clients.
- Chasing and checking proof of delivery documents, and updating records where needed.
- Support with month-end and year-end processes

The ideal candidate will have solid all-round accounts knowledge, excellent attention to detail, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
