Job summary

Stewart Johnson Partners Limited in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to manage a varied client portfolio and deliver high-quality year-end accounts. The role involves direct client liaison, meeting deadlines and taking on partner-level responsibilities where appropriate.

Candidates should have several years in practice, strong year-end accounting skills, and hands-on experience with IRIS and Xero.

Qualifications

• Several years' experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong hands-on experience preparing year-end accounts.
• IRIS and Xero experience essential.
• ACA/ACCA qualification would be advantageous but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare year-end accounts for a varied client portfolio.
• Manage client work to agreed deadlines.
• Liaise with clients regarding accounts and queries.
• Take on work currently handled at Partner level; review colleagues' work as needed.
• Maintain accurate client records and collaborate with the wider team.
• Utilise IRIS, Xero, Workiro and Microsoft 365 for daily tasks.
