Job summary

Mastercard seeks a Senior Accountant – UK Controller to oversee the integrity of financial records for UK entities, liaise with auditors, and ensure statutory reporting compliance. The role supports monthly close, controls, and advisory activities for the European Controller group.

The ideal candidate has ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications, UK statutory knowledge, and strong Excel skills. Collaboration with tax, treasury and business teams is essential for risk management and accurate reporting.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
• Experience with US GAAP and IFRS and UK statutory accounting and reporting.
• Experience liaising with external auditors and managing statutory audits.

Responsibilities

• Oversee integrity of financial records for UK entities with GBSC.
• Manage statutory account audits for UK entities and provide quarterly disclosures.
• Maintain relationships with auditors and internal stakeholders; communicate risks and opportunities.
• Assist with monthly financial statement monitoring and control processes.
• Support ad hoc tax and treasury activities including cash flow forecasts.
