Job summary

Journey is seeking a Senior Group Accountant to join our Finance function in London, with a clear path toward a Financial Controller. Reporting to the EMEA Group Financial Controller, you will own the management accounts and deliver accurate group reporting for leadership decisions.

This senior, hands-on role requires IFRS/UK GAAP expertise, project-based experience, and advanced Excel/Google Sheets. You will lead month-end close, intercompany reconciliations, tax provisions, NetSuite

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant with IFRS/UK GAAP knowledge.
• Experience in a project-based business.
• Strong analytical skills and advanced Excel/Google Sheets.
• Proactive, highly organised and team-oriented.
• Experience in fast-paced environments.
• Netsuite experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate month-end close and ensure accuracy across group entities.
• Review intercompany accounting and reconcile differences monthly.
• Analyse payroll, liaise with outsourced payroll/HR to resolve discrepancies.
• Oversee intangible asset accounting, additions, disposals, and amortisation.
• Manage corporate tax provisions and liaise with HMRC and advisors.
• Prepare variance analyses and monthly performance commentary for leadership.
• Support NetSuite and other tools configuration aligned with group reporting.
• Provide audit schedules and support for external auditors.
• Collaborate with CFO/Financial Controller on ad hoc finance projects.
• Mentor junior finance staff across the function.
