Job summary

ASEE Group is seeking a proactive Senior Accountant to join their finance team in the UK. The role covers financial accounting, month-end reporting, reconciliations, statutory compliance, and supporting the wider finance function. You will work with ERP systems and maintain strong controls while supporting audits and budgets.

The ideal candidate will have ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualifications with post-qualification experience, strong technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to mentor junior staff.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with post-qualification experience.
• Proven experience in Senior Accountant, Financial Accountant or similar role.
• Strong experience in financial accounting, month-end and year-end processes.
• Experience preparing financial statements and supporting external audits.
• Knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.
• Experience with VAT, payroll, subcontractor reporting and statutory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly financial accounts and supporting schedules.
• Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and reviews.
• Review bank, supplier and key account reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT, payroll, subcontractor and other statutory returns.
• Assist with annual financial statements and audit files.
• Support budgeting and planning processes.
• Mentor junior finance staff and support wider finance team.
