Job summary

Blusource Professional Services Ltd is actively recruiting for a senior accountant/manager level role with a well-regarded accountancy firm within reach of Stamford. The role will involve managing diverse client portfolios, reviewing accounts, corporation tax and VAT returns, and possible tax planning.

There is line management responsibility for around 5 staff, with mentoring and workflow oversight. The salary is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.

Qualifications

• Managing a diverse portfolio of clients (Limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships).
• Reviewing accounts, corporation tax and VAT returns for partner review.
• Ensuring review points and queries are cleared prior to partner review.
• Involvement in accounts preparation, accounts reviews, corporation tax computations, personal tax and planning.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients to answer queries and provide advice.
• Managing a team of staff (approx. 5) with mentoring.

Responsibilities

• Assist in managing client portfolios and financial statements.
• Review accounts and prepare corporation tax and VAT returns for partner review.
• Resolve review points and client queries before partner sign-off.
• Participate in accounts preparation, tax computations and personal tax work as needed.
• Serve as main client contact for queries and advice.
• Support and supervise a small team, with guidance on technical issues.

We are actively recruiting for a job opportunity with a well-respected, long-standing, Accountancy firm within reach of Stamford, Peterborough, Oakham, Corby and Bourne, seeking to hire a professional and open to that being anywhere from Senior Accountant through to Manager grade.

The salary is negotiable, will of course depend on experience and qualification level and is open within reason.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting in managing a diverse portfolio of clients (Limited companies, Sole Traders and Partnerships)
• The role will involve reviewing accounts, corporation tax and VAT returns, ready for partner review
• Review of accounts, ensuring review points and queries are cleared prior to partner review
• This will be a mixed role, and there will be some involvement in accounts preparation, accounts reviews, corporation tax computations, personal tax, possible tax planning.
• Acting as a key point of contact for clients, to answer queries and provide advice when needed
• Assisting in the management of 5 staff, including advising on technical queriesIf you join at a Manager grade, the following will also be included:
• Manage and support a team of staff at varying experience levels
• Workflow oversight and staff allocation
• File reviews, Staff development and mentoring
