Knightwell Recruitment is seeking an experienced Accounts/Client Manager for a Cornwall-based independent practice. You will manage your own client portfolio and act as a trusted adviser, reviewing accounts and tax work while building long-term relationships.

The role offers hybrid working with some WFH, mentoring junior staff, and collaboration with the leadership team as you progress towards potential Partnership. ACA/ACCA qualification is preferred, with UK practice experience.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent.
• Experience in UK accountancy practice.
• Manager/Client Manager level experience.
• Broad accounts and tax experience.
• Comfortable dealing directly with clients.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring juniors.
• Commercially minded with progression towards Partnership.

Accounts / Client Manager – Accountancy Practice

I'm working with an established independent accountancy practice in Cornwall that is looking to appoint an experienced Accounts / Client Manager to join its growing team.

This is a particularly interesting opportunity for someone who has reached Manager level within practice and is looking for a role offering genuine long-term progression towards Partnership.

The role

You’ll take responsibility for a varied portfolio of clients and play an important role within the wider practice, including:

• Managing your own portfolio of clients
• Acting as a key point of contact and trusted adviser
• Reviewing accounts and tax work
• Providing tax and general business advice
• Building and developing long-term client relationships
• Supporting and mentoring junior members of the team
• Working closely with the existing leadership team
• Contributing ideas towards the continued development and growth of the practice
• Taking on increasing responsibility as you progress towards a potential future Partnership position

About you

We’re particularly interested in speaking with someone who:

• Is ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent
• Has strong experience within a UK accountancy practice
• Is currently operating around Manager / Client Manager level
• Is comfortable managing their own client portfolio
• Has broad accounts and tax experience
• Is confident dealing directly with clients
• Has experience reviewing work and supporting more junior staff
• Is commercially minded and interested in progressing their career
• Would like the opportunity to potentially move towards Partnership
