Job summary

BibliU is seeking a Senior Accountant to own end-to-end accounting across our multi-entity group. You will close the books monthly, collaborate with Finance, Legal, Tax, and Treasury to ensure accurate accounting, and help drive scalable processes as the company grows. This is a remote role within the UK.

You will report to the Corporate Controller and influence internal controls, process improvements, and automation while ensuring timely financial reporting and compliance across jurisdictions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5 to 10 years of progressive accounting experience including month-end and quarter-end close.
• Exposure to multiple jurisdictions / multi-entity accounting a plus.
• Advanced Excel skills for reconciliations, formulas and data analysis.
• Comfort using AI tools to improve accuracy or efficiency in accounting work.
• Strong written and verbal communication with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to document technical accounting positions.
• Judgment and timely decision-making to meet close deadlines.
• Attention to detail and proactive risk escalation.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual close activities across group entities.
• Assist in preparation, review and filing of external financial reports.
• Own end-to-end accounting processes and projects, ensuring timely closes.
• Partner with Finance, Legal, Tax, and Treasury on accounting implications of initiatives.
• Assess and design internal controls as the business grows.
• Identify and implement process improvements and automation across accounting.
• Document technical accounting positions on significant transactions.
• Escalate risk with clear context and recommendations.
• Analyze complex processes to surface actionable insights.
