Job summary

Huntress - Maidstone is seeking a Senior Accountant (Property & Fixed Assets) to lead development finance and the fixed asset function. The role is based in Medway with hybrid working and a permanent contract.

Salary ranges from £65,000 to £71,000 and requires ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualifications with experience in a development finance function in a regulated environment. The successful candidate will oversee fixed asset reconciliations, depreciation forecasting, and capital budgeting.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification is required.
• Experience managing a development finance function in a regulated environment.
• Advanced Excel skills with the ability to model complex scenarios.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain complex financial concepts to non-finance colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and report on the performance of the development programme, advising on risk and return.
• Identify accounting, VAT and tax implications at feasibility and appraisal stages.
• Prepare monthly fixed asset reconciliations and lead the year-end process.
• Set capital budgets, forecast depreciation and property sales, and analyse variances.
• Manage cash flows and advise on loan drawdown requirements.
• Oversee finances of a subsidiary company.
• Develop fixed asset policies and procedures, and lead a team member.
• Support the board and committees with clear, accurate information.
