Job summary

SMH Group in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Accounts Senior to join our Harrogate or Leeds practice. You will deliver first-class accounts and audit support while managing a busy client portfolio.

The ideal candidate is ACA/ACCA qualified with practice experience, able to lead workloads, and proficient in Office 365 and accounting software such as Sage, Xero, QuickBooks or IRIS. Join a supportive team that values client-centric service.

Qualifications

• ACA or ACCA qualified with strong practice background; Newly Qualified.
• Ability to actively manage workloads and develop team members.
• Solid IT skills with common accounting software experience.

Responsibilities

• Manage own portfolio of clients and take responsibility for delivery.
• Prepare and review complex company financial statements and interim accounts.
• Prepare and review personal tax returns and partnership accounts.
• Review quarterly VAT returns and discuss forecasts with clients
• Attend client meetings with directors and assist business owners
• Train staff and allocate duties within the team
