Job summary

Blusource in Mansfield is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant (potentially at Manager level) to join a well-regarded local practice. The role covers a varied portfolio and accounts for sole traders, partnerships, and limited companies, with exposure to client meetings and advisory work.

You will develop management accounting, training clients on Xero and QuickBooks, and help improve internal processes. Salary is open and flexible depending on experience, with clear progression opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience in practice handling portfolios for sole traders, partnerships and limited companies.
• Confident in client meetings and advisory discussions.
• Strong focus on accuracy and deadlines in a busy practice.

Responsibilities

• Managing a portfolio of sole traders, partnerships and limited companies
• Bookkeeping and maintaining client records
• Preparing and submitting VAT returns
• Preparing year-end accounts through to management review
• Producing management accounts
• Attending client meetings and providing accounting support
• Training clients on Xero and QuickBooks
• Reviewing work and supporting junior staff
• Assisting with new software implementation and process improvements
