Job summary

Autograph Recruitment in Cardiff is seeking an Accounts Senior to join a growing accountancy practice. You will prepare statutory and management accounts, oversee bookkeeping, and support clients with day-to-day accounting needs.

Working closely with managers and clients, you will ensure accuracy and timely delivery while mentoring junior team members and contributing to a high-quality service across a varied client portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice environment.
• Strong bookkeeping and accounts preparation experience.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Experience using cloud-based accounting software including Xero, Sage and QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Preparation of statutory accounts and management accounts for a varied client portfolio.
• Overseeing bookkeeping activities and maintaining accounting records.
• Preparation and submission of VAT returns.
• Support clients with accounting software and cloud-based systems.
• Assist with ad hoc projects including migrations and reporting improvements.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Supervise and mentor junior team members.
