Westonbrook Associates Limited in the United Kingdom is looking for a Semi Senior or Senior Accountant to join a growing mid-size regional firm based in Bury St Edmunds. The role offers a secure, supportive environment with varied practice duties from top to bottom.

You will prepare year end statutory accounts, complete tax computations (SA100 & CT600), provide client management accounting support, review VAT returns, and mentor junior staff while developing your own expertise.

Qualifications

• What We're Looking For: 3+ years' experience in UK accountancy practice, with strong attention to detail and good communication skills.
• Qualifications: AAT/ACCA/ACA or studying.
• Experience with accounting systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Preparing and completing year end statutory accounts
• Completion / review of personal and corporate tax computations (SA100 & CT600)
• Client management accounting support
• Review and submission of VAT returns
• Hands on involvement with client bookkeeping and mentoring juniors
• Liaising with clients and handling queries professionally
• Reviewing and mentoring junior staff

Skills

3+ years' experience in UK accountancy

Strong attention to detail

Excellent communication skills

Previous experience with accounting–??

Supervisor / Team Leader experience

Education

AAT/ACCA/ACA qualified or studying
