WestonBrook Associates in Central London is recruiting an ambitious Accounts & Audit Semi-Senior / Trainee for their growing practice. Hybrid working – 50:50 office and home post-probation – and a clear pathway across audit, accounts and tax.

This role offers structured training, extensive study support for ACA/ACCA and exposure to owner-managed businesses, SMEs and entrepreneurial clients as you progress through your professional exams.

Qualifications

• Be studying towards ACA or ACCA through a Level 7 Apprenticeship programme.
• Have completed all Certificate and some of the professional Level examinations.
• Experience in a UK accountancy practice environment.
• Exposure to audit, accounts and tax is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, execution and completion of statutory audit assignments.
• Prepare year-end statutory accounts for a diverse client portfolio.
• Support corporation tax and personal tax compliance work.
• Undertake bookkeeping and management accounts assignments.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve queries.
• Assist with audit fieldwork both remotely and on-site at client premises.
• Work with cloud-based accounting systems such as Xero and Sage.
