Job summary

Fletcher George is recruiting a Senior Accountant for a leading professional services firm in Sutton, Surrey. You will work with a diverse portfolio ranging from entrepreneurial start-ups and growing owner-managed businesses to established companies and larger corporate groups.

This is an excellent opportunity for a recently qualified accountant taking the next step or an experienced Accounts Senior looking for greater client ownership.

Qualifications

• ACCA or ACA qualification is required.
• Experience in preparing and reviewing statutory accounts.
• Experience with UK GAAP and FRS 102 is expected.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review statutory accounts for varied Ltd, partnerships and owner-managed businesses.
• Ensure compliance with UK GAAP, including FRS 102 and FRS 102 Section 1A.
• Manage assignments, deadlines and day-to-day client communication.
• Review work by trainees and part-qualified staff.
• Support junior colleagues with their professional studies and technical development.
• Identify opportunities to provide additional accounting and business support.
• Build relationships with business owners and senior client contacts.
• Keep knowledge current through CPD and professional development.
