Job summary

Fletcher George seeks an experienced Accounts Manager to join their Surrey-based, privately owned firm in the Woking area. You will own a varied portfolio, providing statutory accounts preparation, bookkeeping and payroll services to owner‑managed businesses across sectors.

The role offers hybrid and flexible working and opportunities for CPD and professional development within a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• Experience in an accountancy practice.
• Strong bookkeeping experience and end-to-end payroll processing.
• Experience preparing statutory accounts (FRS102/FRS105).
• Up-to-date knowledge of UK payroll legislation (SSP, SMP, SPP, P60s, Auto Enrolment).
• Experience using CCH, Brightpay, and Xero.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of SME and owner‑managed clients.
• Prepare monthly and quarterly management accounts.
• Prepare statutory accounts for clients.
• Manage bookkeeping for a varied client portfolio.
• Run monthly payrolls for directors and employees.
• Process starters, leavers, statutory payments and RTI filings.
