Senior Accountant – Fully Remote

Up to £40,000 DOE | Fully Remote | Permanent | Full-Time

Are you an experienced Senior Accountant looking for a fully remote opportunity with a friendly, forward-thinking accountancy practice?

Castle Employment are working with an established, independent accountancy practice in Yorkshire who are looking to recruit a Senior Accountant to join their accounts team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous accountancy practice experience who enjoys managing their own workload, preparing year end accounts and working in a genuinely flexible environment where you’re trusted to get on with your job.

The Role

As a Senior Accountant, you'll be responsible for managing and progressing year end accounts for a varied portfolio of clients, working closely with the wider accounts team and Partners.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing, reviewing and finalising year-end accounts for limited companies, sole traders and partnerships.
• Preparing and reviewing corporation tax computations.
• Managing your own workload and ensuring accounts are completed within agreed deadlines.
• Acting as a point of contact for clients, handling queries and providing advice where required.
• Supporting and reviewing the work of more junior team members.
• Working closely with Partners and colleagues to ensure a high standard of client service.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience working within an accountancy practice, ideally at Senior Accountant level.
• Strong experience preparing and finalising year-end accounts.
• Confidence working independently and managing multiple client deadlines.
• Good technical accounting knowledge and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to client relationships.
• A willingness to support and develop junior colleagues.

Qualifications aren't essential! Whether you're AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA qualified, part-qualified or qualified by experience, we'd love to hear from you.
