Trial Balance in Helston is seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join a growing, personable practice. This hands-on role covers accounts and tax work, client management and the day-to-day operation of the practice.

You will manage a varied client portfolio, prepare statutory accounts, corporation tax, VAT returns and supervise junior staff while supporting onboarding and delivering value to clients. ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent is expected.

Qualifikationen

• ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent qualification with extensive practice experience.
• Strong technical knowledge across accounts, tax and VAT.
• Experience supervising colleagues or managing a small team.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage competing priorities.
• Good working knowledge of accounting software.

Aufgaben

• Managing a varied portfolio of clients and acting as a key contact for accounting and taxation requirements.
• Preparing and reviewing statutory accounts for companies, partnerships and sole traders.
• Preparing corporation tax, personal tax and VAT returns.
• Producing management accounts and supporting clients with financial requirements.
• Supporting new client onboarding and day-to-day operation of the practice.
• Leading client tax review meetings and identifying opportunities to add value.
• Reviewing junior colleagues' work and supporting their development.
• Assisting with workflow planning, deadlines and daily organisation.
• Supporting Directors with wider practice management and ad-hoc projects.
